Cottage Cheese on wha….?

Pardon the short post.

Its late, and I’m sore.

I’ve decided the no carb/low carb way of life is not for me.  I missed whole grains, I missed brown rice, I missed fruit!  On top of that, it wasn’t really jump starting any sort of weight loss.  I’ve had more success losing weight by eating a more balanced selection of foods, so I’m going back to that.  Take that carb haters!

I ate a quick dinner before heading out to roller derby practice tonight.

Morningstar california turkey burger, 1/4 avocado, and a generous dollop of cottage cheese.

After a marathon derby practice, I came home and downed some ibuprofen and ate some 2nd dinner.

1 1/2 cups of penne pasta, 1 tsp of butter, salt and some more cottage cheese.  I know it looks like an odd combo, but my mom used to make this for us using egg noodles and it is delicious.  And just what I needed after practice.  I love you carbs.

Other eats

  • Starbucks oatmeal
  • Oikos greek yogurt w/ caramel
  • leftover curry
  • soy nuts

Workout- 3 hour derby practice.

I.  Am.  Beat.
