Home Sweet Home

I’ve returned from the world of wine, food, and wonderfulness, Napa.  It was a glorious trip and I loved every minute of it.  Jenny Penny and I make great travel companions and our sister trip was more successful than I could have hoped.

I have pictures galore to share, food reviews to give and inappropriate statue handling to show.  But all in good time, my friends.  For now, I recover and spend time with my husband and farm.

For the record, even though I’m happy to be home, apparently I can’t shake the whole eating out thing.

Eats

  • Starbucks feta, spinach wrap
  • almonds
  • Starbucks protein plate
  • almonds

Yeah.

Work is slammed, so at least the day went by quickly.

And my lovely tax-day dealing husband brought me dinner.

Oh hello True Food.  We meet again.

This time I tried out Andy’s favorite TLT – a Tempeh, lettuce and tomato sandwich

It looks just as delicious as it looks.  Tempeh bacon, butter lettuce, avocado, everything a vegetarian BLT should be.  To make this sandwich even better? A side of kale salad and sweet potato hash!

Worth all the guilt of still eating out and not cooking a meal at home.  Plus, another recipe I can recreate.  Yum!

I also got in 2 mile walk with Shea to wear her out a little.  She had a big birthday weekend (She’s 2!), and spent the majority of it romping around with her brother, so I knew she wouldn’t mind a walk as opposed to a run.
