Has anyone seen the Andy Samberg skit does of Cathy?
That’s how I feel during work sometimes. Not the losing my boyfriend to Jessica Rabbit type of feeling (and certainly not the low self-esteem type of feeling), but more like the “ACK!!” and “Sweat Drops, Sweat Drops!” and “Frustration Squiggle!” type of feeling.
I did get a warm and fuzzy feeling today because I helped throw a little graduation celebration for one of my coworkers. She graduated from her acupuncture graduate program and to me, that warranted bagels!
Another coworker and I provided the office with bagels, mini-muffins, pumpkin cookies, veggies, chips and dip. I made sure streamers and banners were hung with care (actually, it sort of looked like a 5 year old decorated, but I never claimed to be creative) and I think everything went splendidly!
I tried to stop at half a bagel, but ended up eating the whole dang thing. It was so delicious, I don’t regret it one bit. I can say no to donuts, muffins, cookies, brownies, but put a bagel in front of me and I start drooling. Add some delicious cream cheese into the mix and that bagel is as good as eaten.
The good news? It held me over until 2:30! I was swamped with work and training that I didn’t even notice the day passing by so quickly. While my days have been stressful lately, I’m ok with not counting down the minutes till the day is over. Now that I’ve said that, I wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow dragged its Friday butt.
The rest of my eats you’ve seen, so I’ll just flip through them all quick like.
All mixed up!
We’ve officially mailed out our wedding invitations! I guess this kind of makes everything official
On a semi-related note, I have to go jeans shopping. All but one pair of jeans are embarrassingly big on me. And I don’t own any belts. If anyone tried to pants me, they wouldn’t have to put up much of an effort. You trying walking into work carrying 2 boxes of bagels, a lunch bag, purse, cup of coffee AND try to pull your pants up inconspicuously. Its not pretty.
I used today as a rest day and caught up some tv shows. Parenthood has started back up, and I’m not quite sure I’m digging the whole new work storyline. We’ve also caught up on the showtime show The Big C, and I love it so far. My friend James recommended it and I think we’re hooked. Not that I need more shows on our dvr.
Yawn. Time to hit the hay!
